a kinda horsey day

hello , well, i didnt get too much done today. i started my day trying to get a new blog up called horses of time... well then i went blank..so to try to kick start my thought process i thought id try working on getting my adsense going.. well that went flat dead too.. so i thought id print some posters for a neglected horse called shy shy that was rescued and is now in recovery well i got as far as 6 pages printed and my ink ran out... how productive a day im having :}:} so i thought well ill find places to put them up.. so off i go.. a few barns , a grocery store , a feed mill , a pet store and a pet salon store , well at my last stop the owner had a phone call , so i waited patiently. the call was finished and she told me about a lady that wanted to rescue some cats and where can she take them.. the shelter is overloaded.. so she mentioned a few places that might foster .. well i asked her to pls chk out the site on the poster and went home.. well .. i tried but sure didn t get far today :{:{ but you know, it sure was nice to see someone else trying to help another animal in need wouldnt it b nice if all needy animals could b so fortunate .. it just takes some time, a few calls and determination to find the help for these animals .. so i guess my day wasnt a total loss :}:}

old time horse days

hello again , its been snowing again, will spring ever get here? this is the thought as i stood at work, watching the snow fall and the wind carrying it where ever it can, watching the customers coming and going , and to my surprise a lone amish horse and black carriage comes into our drive way , trotting around the building and heads in the opposite direction then they came in, the horse was covered in snow and frosty breath hanging off its muzzle , what a rare sight to see on such a blustry snow day !!! my mind drifted to what it was like when our whole town was founded that way in the 1800s , i wondered ... would we b better off in horse and buggy ? no pollution, no "real vehicle repairs " that would suck us dry , no insurance to pay, no vehicle payments to make, is there someone up there trying to drop us a hint as to how simple life "could be" if we only gave it a chance? why couldnt life b simpler.. is modern living worth losing touch with the past ? how many of us "know " how to farm with a work horse, milk a cow, draw water from a well with a bucket, to make our own foods, how to knit and sew and make our own clothes, sure things were harder , and it took longer, but what if we "had " to survive like they did back then..would we know how? should we know how.. now? i think it would b of our best interest myself, at least we could live on " both side of the fence " if the time ever came to be...
